The Return

A few years ago, way back in 2019, I had the honor of starting a new morning radio show. After over a decade in radio producing my own morning show under a different name, I decided when I returned to radio I would use my real name, and The Nick B. Show was born. First airing on radio on January 1, 2019, and continuing until the fall of 2020.

When our show was kicked off the air, not because of ratings or people not liking it, no, it was kicked off because the GM of the station had a god complex and decided to change the locks on us. It was devastating. We were killing it in the mornings and were one of the first locally broadcasting shows to talk about COVID. The funny thing is we used to joke that they would have to change the locks on us to get us to stop. It was a joke; we didn’t think it would be taken as a challenge.

So the show went off the air, and I immediately started looking for a new home but got pulled in another direction, albeit briefly. When I refocused on radio, I found an office and looked to build out the studio. Then lumber prices went through the roof, and that sort of killed that. Another year would go by before I would find the perfect place for the new home of the show.

After looking into negotiating and getting the new office set up, we began to rebuild. We decided to bring the show back as “Nick B. in the Morning” because we felt doing the show without all our co-hosts wouldn’t be right. They were just as much a part of it as I was. We did NBAM for two years and then had to stop yet again, but this time it was because a member of our team had some legal issue we knew nothing about that put us in a dangerous spot with the FCC.

I say all that to say that The Nick B. Show will make its return in 2026. I started the show early in 2019 and was hosting it solo then before the end of 2019 LB joined with James and Courtney G coming on in 2020. I decided to bring the original name back for nothing other than simplicity. First, the show is going to be live but will probably not start off as a morning show and segments may be pre-recorded so it makes sense not to have “morning” in the title. Second, it’s simply to remember and easily marketed.

So in 2026, look for myself, LB, and a few others to join us as we bring you our crazy style of talk show. See you then!
