So you’ve decided to know more. Just be warned again, this may have some spoilers, so don’t yell at me. You’ve been warned. The episode in question dealt with a lot, but the lead-up did too. I just want to say I believe Will is a bad ass, though he was originally written to be sort of the outcast type character, the odd man out, so to speak.
They also had mentioned and hinted that Will might be gay. It’s not a big deal, but it was how the character was written, and there is a reason I believe as to why in Season 5 episode 7, Will finally came out to his friends and family. He’s been holding that secret and felt shame for a while now, so releasing it is going to make him even stronger than he was before.
Apparently, everyone lost their minds online about Will being gay, and I just don’t get the outrage. I can understand people being upset over the fact that it was done at a time when they’re getting ready to kill Vecna, so timing could have been different. I can get that argument, but still, it’s not my story, and I trust the writers because they haven’t let me down yet.
I know this ending is going to be epic, and the so-called releasing of his secrets will free him, so he will be even more powerful because he knows love and that his friends and family will never leave him. That’s powerful when you think about it. So just trust the process.
