What a Day!

So today, June 1, 2025, I woke up to emails from Meta telling me that all my Facebook accounts had been banned for a vague terms of service violation. I appealed, but it will more than likely be toast. The worst part is I had messages from my mom that I had saved on my Facebook page that I can’t go read when I’m missing her. I lost my over 6k audience on Instagram and so many friends that have passed away that I can’t reconnect with.

Facebook and its parent company Meta are insane when they suspend and ban you, and I know people will scream “it’s their company, they should be able to.” Without a person being able to talk with me and show me where I went astray, it’s incredibly disconnecting, especially for a corporate company that claims to want to bring people together. The weirdest thing is they claim they’re all about people, but you can’t get a person to help with ANYTHING.

So I started a new account, which is not bad. It gives me a chance to rebuild, which I love. I will come back bigger and better. I know I will, but all the personal things from my old account that I had for over 10 years just being gone is a bit of a gut punch. I cannot connect with my mom again because she’s no longer here. I can’t connect to my dead friends for the same reasons. It’s just a shitty situation.

The best way to keep up with me is to keep this link handy: linktr.ee/nickbtalks, just in case anything changes in the future.
