I have seen a lot of people trying to argue with conservatives over the fact that liberals are now using guns. Conservatives are crying that liberals are in the streets using guns. I am here shouting, finally, they’re using guns! Remember President Biden threatened the lives of every American when he said, “How are you going to fight the federal government against nukes and tanks?” theoretically saying he would use nukes on Americans.
Here is the problem. I don’t have or see an issue with anyone taking up arms for a cause they believe in. That is a uniquely American thing. The problem is when you become out of control or you actually threaten people’s lives, the result will be others will take up arms against your threats. What I am trying to say is the liberals with guns protecting their neighborhoods are doing so against something they fear, something they don’t see as right. It doesn’t matter if you don’t agree with it; to them, it’s not right, and using their god given right to fight against what they view as wrong, I cannot condemn. The problem I have is when you start threatening to kill someone, like in the case of the New Black Panthers in Philly.
The man was on video saying something along the lines of “I bet those ICE boys won’t try to mess with me like that because I’ll put a hole in their chest,” that’s threatening a federal official from doing their federally mandated job, which will result in the weight of the federal government coming down. People have been screaming “Trump is going to use the Insurrection Act to declare war on the American people,” and your thought is to scream on the internet about how you’re going to kill federal law enforcement? What do you think his response will be?
This anger that people on both sides have now about how much our local police look like a military, I was there about 20 years ago. I am a big 2A guy, and when I saw the local PD and sheriff arming themselves with military-style trucks and getting larger caliber weapons than what we can buy, I knew it was only a matter of time before the government got to a point where we couldn’t fight them. Not saying I still wouldn’t try, but from where I sit as a man pushing the wrong side of 50, it’s starting to look more and more like Biden was right. While I applaud both sides for taking up arms to fight for what they believe in, I no longer feel it will be a good fight as we are too divided. We all used to hate the government, and now we still may hate the government, but we also hate those that voted for it.
I’ve never hated someone because of their political stance or beliefs. I have disagreed and been influenced by media to believe narratives but never hated anyone. Threatening to kill federal law enforcement because you don’t like those in control is not the right thing. Obama’s ICE killed over 50 people and there wasn’t a peep. He deported somewhere in the area of 3 million people. Yet no one had an issue. The left is being played and being pushed into a war with the right because whoever is paying for and controlling the protests will benefit from it. There is only one man I know of in modern history that benefits from the collapse of countries specifically their currency and that is George Soros. The right is being played by a power-hungry force that could or could not be Trump. He’s an egomaniac for sure but I fear who may be really pulling his strings. It’s clearly someone who just wants to watch the world burn.
So while I see nothing wrong with this, I could argue that one is not threatening and the other is, and I don’t like someone leaving their home like Rittenhouse to go towards trouble, but that’s also uniquely American and a little of what happens when people get radicalized.
The problem with both sides is the radicalization.
Again, what this man is doing is essentially the same thing they said Kyle Rittenhouse was doing, yet this conservative wants to “lock him up”. The only thing that would justify such a statement is if he’s not legally allowed to own a gun or if he doesn’t have the right permit, which don’t even get me started on the permits.
By the time you realize you’ve been radicalized, it’s often too late.
Hating on your fellow citizens because of a party belief is beyond disgusting. Telling them that their own country they can’t celebrate it because of who they voted for is radicalism at its finest. Nothing that has been done by the Trump administration through ICE or otherwise has been illegal, and if it was, the courts will deal with it, but even they are radicalized. I do not recognize my country, so many people are upset, and they don’t ever know why other than “Orange man bad”. I digress…
Something is going to come to a boil soon in this country, and a lot of innocent people will be swept up in all because of political ideology. Nothing of actual substance will change, and it’s sad that neither side can see this. Or worse, they don’t want to.
