There is a different vibe and feeling in the world, and I’m almost positive we all feel it. Minnesota feels like it’s about to become the epicenter of perhaps something that will lead to a clash with the federal government. I don’t want to go as far as to say a civil war, but it definitely feels like something is about to come to a head. As an anarchist, I used to think it would be cool for there to be no law and everyone to be able to do what they want, but as an adult, I see that would be the worst thing possible.
I’ve said it more times than I can remember. I am not Republican or Democrat, but I see that people in this country have lived for too long without consequences of their actions, and that is the real problem. There are laws in this country, and the people trying to enforce those laws have now been deemed enemies of the people. This isn’t a defense for ICE, as they aren’t helping themselves by acting insane. While I support the fact that our country has immigration policies, I do not support a lot of the military tactics ICE is using or the fact that they’ve tormented US citizens.
I know a lot of Trump supporters that are concerned with not just what is happening here at home but what is going on outside our borders. Canada’s prime minister has announced they’re partnering with China for something he called “the new world order,” and Russia is telling Europe they need to get in line with their security look and future of the world order; they will potentially nuke them. Meanwhile, the US is talking about invading and taking over an ally. Nothing is making sense anymore.
I fear for what the future holds for my children.
