If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be jamming out to Bad Bunny, I would have laughed in your face, but here we are. I’ve made my point clear on Bad Bunny: I am just not a fan of his music. I don’t like how it looks like he can really sing, but I never get to hear it. I love to hear people just belt out a song when they have the voice, and it seems like he could, but he never does, and that pisses me off.
When I saw him perform on the Super Bowl Halftime show, I saw someone that even though most of the country was against him and throwing hate his way, he was still having a blast. He was a little kid achieving his dreams, even though it was his second time performing at the halftime show. It was his first as the headliner.
He genuinely looked like he was on cloud nine at the top of his game, and that is what had me taking another look at his music. While I still feel like he would absolutely kill it if he fully used his gifts, I’ll accept the way it is for now. Does this mean I am a fan? No, but I’m getting there. So go check out his music and on Titi Me Pregunto when it sounds like he’s mumbling with a word starting with M, he is actually saying mañana, who knew?
